Topic: Looking Towards 2023

These gatherings will include time for member updates, introducing new curriculum, and exploring puzzles or problems together. In addition to the normal opportunities to connect, we will also use this time together as a “thinking group” engaged in a sustained discussion about our current democratic challenges. We will be exploring together:

• How can we leverage the CDP and dialogue and deliberation work, in general, to strengthen democracy?
• How might our work be (re)framed to support pro-democracy movements and resist practices that play into authoritarian desires?
• What can we do as a community of educators and practitioners concerned about the state of our democracy?
