The Interactivity Foundation offers regular trainings for educators or community members to become a Collaborative Discussion Coach. After this training, coaches will be able to design and offer their own certificate program in classrooms, communities, or workplaces.

What does a Collaborative Discussion Coach Training include?

15 hours of engagement, small group design, & interactive participation designed to

  1. Introduce participants to key collaborative discussion concepts

  2. Dive deep into the Collaborative Discussion Toolkit and IF pedagogy

  3. Model how to facilitate collaborative discussion activities

  4. Share practical and ready-to-use collaborative discussion resources

  5. Practice collaborative discussion skills and habits in small working teams

  6. Connect participants in a learning experience and broader community of practice

  7. Construct a draft certificate program design

Collaborative Discussion Coach Summer Training 2023

When: May 31st to June 6th, 12 pm - 3 pm EST*
Where: Online, with small group breakout sessions and 1-on-1 consultations
Who: Seats will be limited.

Who should apply? Anyone interested in offering a certificate program and helping others to develop collaborative discussion skills, in particular: educators, librarians, community leaders, student leaders, business and professional development managers. Please only apply if you can fully attend all 5 days of the training. 

How much does it cost? IF Summer Coach Trainings are free of charge.

When is the deadline? Applications will close on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023.

*Note: There will be no training sessions on Saturday and Sunday. You can use this time for working with your small group and developing your certificate program design.
