Description

Participants assess the skills of their peers by observing others in small group collaborative discussion. The assessment has a checklist of collaborative discussion skills students should look for when observing and a rubric to assess quality of skills.

Suggested Use

Use throughout the program to encourage both participants and observers to think more deeply about how collaborative discussion skills manifest in discussions. Observers become more aware of these behaviors by being asked to identify them in discussion.
